From Bamboo Escape it’s only a few steps to the beach and a short walk to the Village and Pier. This magnificent home was just completed in early 2023 so everything is new. The home includes many areas to escape to. Relax on the screened porch on the second level or take in the ocean views on third-level porch. Lounge in the Loggia off the pool, or find a good reading spot on the daybed in the third-floor study.
THE SPACE
Parking for four vehicles is located in front of the home.
Enter through the courtyard gate into the pool area. It’s a salt-water pool, 12’x24’ and only 5 feet at the deepest, with a sunshelf and bench seating. There’s an outdoor shower with hot water to rinse off before dipping in the pool or to rinse off after the beach. And a putting green by the pool! (Don’t worry, we have a ball retriever!)
Adjacent to the pool is the Loggia with comfortable seating and a large smart TV. There’s a half bath conveniently just inside the garage. There’s also a laundry area inside the garage for all your sandy items.
The foyer includes storage for your beach gear and a place to hang jackets. Upstairs is the open living space with a family room, dining room (seats 6), a large center island (4 bar stools), well equipped kitchen, and access to the screened porch. A single serve coffee maker is provided. Off the kitchen is another laundry room with plenty of pantry storage, as well as a separate half bath.
The grand suite is located around the corner from the dining area. It has a king size bed, smart TV, walk-in closet, bathroom with double vanity, and dual shower heads.
The third level has a study full of books, a desk with a monitor you can use with your own laptop, comfortable seating, a daybed (sleeps 1), and access to the porch. From there you can see the ocean!
The third level also has 3 bedrooms. There’s a guest room with a king bed as well as an adjoining bathroom that also opens to the hall. At the end of the hall is a twin room with 2 single beds (sleeps 2). There’s a hall bathroom with a double vanity and a tub-shower combo. Finally, the third guest room has 2 queen beds (sleeps 4). Each bedroom has a smart TV.
Parking is limited to 4 cars in front of the home. Please, no parking on private lots nearby or the street.
Other features of the property include:
- black out blinds in each bedroom for great sleeping;
- whole-house water filtration system for better tasting water;
- tankless hot water heater so you don't run out of hot water;
- smart TVs with Hulu access in each bedroom, the loggia, and the living room, as well as Roku for each TV so you can log into your own streaming services;
- private, salt-water pool with a sun shelf; and
- Weber gas grill on the ground level by the pool.
Bamboo Escape is located on the south end of the Island in the St. Simons Pier Village district which serves as a social hub popular for its shopping, dining, and gathering on the pier and nearby lighthouse, playground and picnic areas. The home and the surrounding area overlook the ocean and Jekyll Island across the sound. A five-minute walk will bring you to the St. Simons Lighthouse and Museum, Neptune Park with its ocean side pool and facilities, playground, miniature golf course, and an oak shaded picnic area, fishing pier, public library and theater.
Note: We are located just a few steps away from ocean front access, but please note that beach access is tide contingent. High tide occurs twice daily at varying times throughout the year, making the beach inaccessible.

Beach Gear Included!: This home offers beach gear such as beach chairs and beach towels FREE for your use! Bikes, carts, paddleboards and more are available for rent locally, discount included. There are no fees or surchages attached to your reservation.
Pets: This is not a pet friendly home.
Heated Pool: This property offers a heated pool option. The cost is $75/night+tax and can be added up to 48 hours before arrival. Let us know if you'd like to heat the pool!
No Smoking: No smoking is allowed in the home, on the porches/patios/decks, or on the property in general.
Minimum Age: Must be 25 + to book, or age 30 + on GAFL weekend (last weekend in October) For GAFL weekend(last weekend in October), guests must be age 30 + or kids with their parents, no student groups. We cannot make exceptions for that weekend.
No Events: No events or parties. No overnight guests beyond the original booking group.
